Imagine Dragons’ lead vocalist, Dan Reynolds, has a confession to make: his passion for gaming has caused the band to delay their own concerts! In an interview with The Washington Post, Reynolds revealed that the band’s love for League of Legends has led to tardiness onstage.
But this isn’t a new development – Imagine Dragons has been partnering with video game companies for years, with their music featuring in ads for Ubisoft, Epic Games, Nintendo, and Riot Games. Their first collaboration was with Nintendo composer Koji Kondo at the Game Awards, which Reynolds describes as a dream come true.
The band isn’t actively seeking out gaming partnerships, but rather, major brands are knocking on their door. And why not? With Reynolds’ self-proclaimed “gamer” status, it’s a natural fit.
Imagine Dragons is set to release their new album, Loom, on June 28. Stay tuned for more music!
