At his debut Louis Vuitton show last June, Pharrell hinted at a future collaboration with Tiffany & Co. Many noticed the custom sunglasses from the luxury label that he wore with his pixelated suit on that memorable occasion. But delving deeper into his fashion journey, you’ll discover that those shades were an evolution of the Tiffany spectacles he first showcased during NIGO’s inaugural KENZO show a year earlier. At the time, he told WWD, “You know Tiffany and I are engaged. It’s the first of many things I’m going to do with Tiffany.” Now, their much-anticipated collaboration has come to fruition in the form of a 19-piece jewelry collection named “Tiffany Titan.”
Inspired by the Sea: Williams’ ‘Titan’ Collection and Its Mythological Roots
“I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection, ‘Titan,’ draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis — Atlantis, which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach,” Williams explained in a statement. “The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness.”
Signature Pieces: Highlighting the Luxurious Details of the ‘Titan’ Jewelry Collection
Reflecting his mood board inspiration, the collection features necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings with spiked edges reminiscent of Poseidon’s trident. The standout piece is a $55,000 USD necklace crafted from 18k yellow gold with pavé diamonds forming a spear-shaped motif around the neck. Other notable pieces include a $39,000 USD clasp necklace and a $26,000 USD link bracelet, both adorned with identical jewels. A $16,500 USD five-row ring and titanium earrings and pendants add a dark contrast to the collection.
