Top Trends from Copenhagen Fashion Week SS25”

Copenhagen may not be the first European city that comes to mind, but it should be. The Danish capital offers many of the continent’s most appealing features: a five-to-one bike-to-car ratio, centuries of history, picturesque streets and architecture, world-class restaurants, and an art, fashion, and design scene that stands among the best globally. While winters can be harsh, summer in Copenhagen reveals an almost utopian city where everything runs seamlessly, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it feel like a well-kept secret.

Janteloven’s Influence on Copenhagen Fashion Week

This laid-back vibe is deeply influenced by Janteloven, or the Law of Jante—a Scandinavian code that values collective success over individual achievements. This philosophy is evident in Danish design and fashion, where minimalism and functionality are paramount. Nowhere is this more apparent than during Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW), held in January and August, offering a refreshing contrast to the frenetic pace of London, Paris, and New York fashion weeks.

CPHFW operates with precision, largely due to the efforts of COO Isabella Rose Davey, who has played a pivotal role in bringing Scandinavian brands to the global stage. Hypebeast attended the Spring/Summer 2025 shows, and here are the highlights:
