Most of the wrongful death lawsuits against Travis Scott and Live Nation arising from the tragic events at Astroworld in 2021 have been resolved, nearly three years after the incident claimed the lives of 10 concert attendees.
According to an attorney representing Live Nation, nine out of ten lawsuits have been settled, including one filed by the family of Madison Dubiski, a 23-year-old victim. The terms of these settlements remain confidential, as both parties are bound by the court’s gag order.
Only one wrongful death lawsuit remains unresolved, brought forth by the family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest victim of the tragedy. The Blount family intends to proceed with their case in court.
State District Judge Kristen Hawkins has indicated that Blount’s case will take precedence over any pending injury cases, underscoring the significance of seeking justice for the victims and their families.
