The wait is over. After a three-year break, Twenty One Pilots returned with their latest studio album, ‘Clancy,’ released at midnight on May 24. This 13-track album is already making waves, accompanied by 12 stunning music videos.
Leading the album are the singles “Overcompensate,” “Next Semester,” and “Backslide.” Fans can also enjoy tracks like “Midwest Indigo,” “Routines in the Night,” “Vignette,” “The Craving (Jenna’s Version),” “Lavish,” “Navigating,” “Snap Back,” “Oldies Station,” “At the Risk of Feeling Dumb,” and “Paladin Strait.”
The duo premiered these music videos during a special livestream event early this morning, alongside their long-time collaborator and video director, Mark Eshleman. While 12 of the tracks received their own visuals, the closing track, ‘Paladin Strait,’ featured a placeholder visual. The full music video is set for release in early June.
“The name of the record is ‘Clancy,’ and that’s actually the protagonist of the story we’ve been telling,” explained vocalist and guitarist Tyler Joseph in a recent interview with Z100, with drummer Josh Dun. “Blurryface is kind of the bad guy, he’s the antagonist. They’ve been at it for a while, and we’re going to have the final battle here.”
Twenty One Pilots’ return with ‘Clancy’ marks an exciting new chapter for the band, blending their signature style with fresh, innovative sounds. Fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next as the story of Clancy unfolds.
