Undercover and Vans Unleash ‘Anarchy’ with New Sk8-Mid Sneaker Collaboration

Vans’ recently relaunched OTW line is adding Undercover to its esteemed list of collaborators. The Undercover x OTW x Vans Sk8-Mid and Era sneakers are set to release this week, each available in two distinct colorways.

The Sk8-Mid model features striking graphics on the tongue back half, reading “Anarchy Is Key” in red or blue. Both versions showcase black and white color blocking, with the blue version having a predominantly black upper.

For the Era sneakers, Undercover draws inspiration from Dracula, featuring the villain’s hand atop a checkerboard print in black and white or red and black. The collection’s campaign stars pro skater Stafhon Boca and artist Briseppe, bringing the edgy designs to life.

Vans relaunched its Vault by Vans line as OTW by Vans earlier this year, aiming to revitalize the brand with a focus on premium collaborations and innovative designs. Ian Ginoza, who has previously worked with Nike, Adidas, and Converse, has steered the line towards bold reinterpretations of classic Vans silhouettes, including models with Vibram outsoles suited for hiking.

Ginoza explained to WWD, “We’re launching a new platform where we’re going to house our most pinnacle product expressions and brand experiences. This is also where the brand will intersect with innovators in the culture of skate, style, design, and entertainment.”

Undercover has been a frequent Vans collaborator, and this latest partnership continues to push the boundaries of design and style.

The Undercover x OTW by Vans Sk8-Mid and Era sneakers will be available on Friday, July 13, through Undercover’s website, with a second release on the OTW site on July 16. Prices range from $95 to $100.
