The Ventete aH-1 features groundbreaking technology, including the brand’s proprietary pneumatic structural system. This multi-patented system uses pressurized air instead of the traditional foam found in helmets, resulting in a lighter yet equally safe product. Ventete claims that the aH-1 has been certified in both the UK and EU, exceeding CE/UKCA safety certification EN1078 standards. Independent testing by Imperial College London has shown that the aH-1 outperforms foam helmets in mitigating linear and rotational impacts, two major causes of traumatic brain injuries in bike accidents.
Enhanced Ventilation and Durability
The helmet’s chambered design promotes breathability, with 11 interconnected nylon chambers that enhance ventilation to keep riders cool. Each chamber is reinforced with a polymer rib for durability and lined with soft padding to resist abrasion and minimize the risk of punctures.
Ventete’s Mission and Urban Mobility
Ventete’s mission is centered on convenience and adapting to the changing urban mobility landscape, which includes the rise of ride-sharing, e-scooters, and e-bikes. Co-founder Colin Herperger was inspired by the idea of a helmet that could fold down like origami and fit into a pocket. The Ventete aH-1 achieves this by collapsing to just a tenth of its volume, allowing users to store it alongside laptops and notepads. Additionally, the helmet can be inflated back to normal size in just 30 seconds using the included rechargeable mini pump.
