After his innovative foray into stained underwear with his luxury sub-label “Dirty Willy Underwear,” Willy Chavarria is now making waves in footwear. Collaborating with American shoemaker Allen Edmonds, Chavarria introduces his first-ever shoe, ‘The Jalisco.’
The Jalisco reimagines the classic Derby shoe, traditionally known for its open-laced leather panels. This new iteration adds a sophisticated touch with a subtle split toe and a distinctive Cuban heel, refining the classic design. Chavarria positions The Jalisco as a pioneering “unformal” shoe, distinguished by his signature “WC” initials in elegant gold foil.
A Testament to American Craftsmanship
Chavarria praised Allen Edmonds for their craftsmanship, stating, “I have always admired their quality and expertise, but I was truly impressed by the artisans in Port Washington. I did not expect such a high-caliber luxury shoe to be crafted right here at home.”
The Jalisco will debut on September 6 during Willy Chavarria’s Spring 2025 runway show at New York Fashion Week. Following its unveiling, the shoe will be available for purchase online and at Allen Edmonds retailers starting next year.
