Beyoncé is back with a second release of her Cowboy Carter vinyl, but this time, it includes all the album’s songs. Earlier in March, she introduced a “limited edition” double LP vinyl featuring an exclusive cover of her holding a cigar. However, that version left out five tracks from the digital edition: “Ya Ya,” “Flamenco,” “Spaghetti,” “Oh Louisiana,” and “The Linda Martell Show.”
Beyoncé Releases “Official” Vinyl Version with Cowboy Carter Tracks
Now, Beyoncé has released what’s being branded as the “official” version of the vinyl. Neither she nor her team has explained why the $40 limited edition excluded these songs. This omission could be why the limited edition didn’t sell out and is still available on Beyoncé’s website and at partnering retailers.
New Vinyl Release: Pricing and Fan Reactions to Cowboy Carter Omission
The new vinyl, which features the same cover art as the digital version, is also a two-vinyl set but is priced higher at $60, totaling around $80 with taxes and shipping. Fans who already purchased the limited edition expressed frustration in Beyoncé’s post’s comments, lamenting that they’d need to buy the new vinyl to enjoy Cowboy Carter in full.
