Paul Smith and Artek Reveal Retro 70s-Inspired Furniture Line

Paul Smith and Finnish furniture maker Artek have announced their latest collaboration, “Artek Reimagined by Paul Smith,” merging iconic design with a subtle 70s aesthetic. This collection features three notable Artek pieces: Stool 60, Screen 100, and Coat Rack 109, all crafted in Finland.

The collaboration highlights Sir Paul Smith’s signature playful color palette and stripes, adding a fresh twist to Artek’s timeless designs. The Stool 60 stands out with vibrant poppy hues and subtle wood stains on its seat and legs, along with a striking ultramarine blue underside.

Screen 100 is constructed from narrow pine slats, incorporating shades that reference Paul Smith’s distinctive stripe pattern, resulting in a subdued 70s finish. Completing the collection is Coat Rack 109, inspired by steam train luggage racks, featuring matching colors and an ergonomic design.

The “Artek Reimagined by Paul Smith” collection will be available starting September 12 through Paul Smith’s official site and shops. Pricing details are yet to be announced, but this collection promises to bring a vibrant, retro flair to any space.
